Out of the Box is an innovative program produced by WUGA and the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia.

On each episode, host Peter Van Zandt Lane brings listeners a selection of cutting-edge art music, composed by UGA students, and performed in the black box theatre at the school of music. 

Peter Van Zandt Lane, the program's host, is Assistant Professor of Composition and Director of the Roger and Phyllis Dancz Center for New Music at the University of Georgia Hugh Hodgson School of Music, as well as an accomplished composer. 

What happens when cutting-edge technology meets classically-trained performers? On this epsiode of Out of the Box, we journey into the world of electro-acoustic music, with compositions by UGA students and faculty, as well as guest performers in the Black Box performance space at the Roger and Phyllis Dancz Center for new Music.
