Yesterday, Superintendent Dr. Thomas announced that Clarke County Schools will resume full-time, in-person instruction beginning on April 12th.

While full-time virtual learning remains an option, students who want to attend school in person will have to do so full-time following Spring Break.

In a statement released on Monday, Dr. Thomas explained that the full reopening was the result of consistently low numbers of COVID-19 positive cases in schools. Also, the majority of district staff will have received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine by the time spring break is over

Yesterday, the University of Georgia announced the return to full in-person instruction for the upcoming fall semester.

Due to the wider availability of vaccines, the University of Georgia will resume normal operations in the fall, including a return to full in-person instruction, full capacity in the residence halls and dining facilities, as well as regular operations for other campus services, according to UGA Today.
