Athens Police are on the scene after an officer-involved shooting in northwest Athens.
The department has contacted the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which has agreed to handle the investigation.
According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, ACCPD will provide more information regarding the incident when possible.
