October is Down Syndrome Awareness month and ESP (Extra Special People) is asking those supporting the Georgia Bulldogs to also show their support for those with Down Syndrome.
“Everyone’s talking about football right in the month of October, we want them to also be talking about people with Down Syndrome, the joy that people with Down Syndrome bring to the world, and the services that can support people with Down Syndrome, which include ESP.”
Katarina Christmann is Marketing Manager with ESP.
“This is actually our third annual Dress Down with/for the Dawgs, we noticed that people were starting to dress a little more casual for football games and we wanted to tie it all together with ESP and the individuals that we serve, including people with Down Syndrome.”
She says it's particularly easy to participate in Dress Down with the Dawgs, especially this year.
“There’s never been a better year to dress down, really the only thing you have to do to participate in Dress Down is wear a t-shirt during this weekend’s football game, post about how you are not only cheering on the Dawgs but you’re also cheering on people with Down Syndrome and the organization that they love, ESP, and you just use the hashtag 'DressDownWithTheDawgs'."
ESP is the parent company of Java Joy and Christmann says many of the Joyristas working at Java Joy have Down’s Syndrome.
