As voters head to the polls on this election day, both President Donald Trump and President-elect Joe Biden were in Georgia yesterday to stump for votes in the state’s key US Senate runoffs, which will determine which party controls the Senate. Trump was in Dalton, where he continued to November’s general election.

Earlier in the day, president-elect Joe Biden was in Atlanta at a drive-in rally.

Early and absentee voting turnout has been high in Georgia, and polls remain open today until 7PM.

In Athens-Clarke County, polling locations across the city are seeing steady/low/surging turnout as voters decide two US Senate races, plus a race for Public Service Commission.

Incumbent Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler announced last night that she would be joining a number of her Republican colleagues in an attempt to overturn the electoral college results from November’s presidential election when Congress convenes tomorrow.
