Controversial Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has drawn a second Democratic challenger.

Marcus Flowers leans heavily on his background in the US Army in a campaign video released Monday, saying "I've witnessed firsthand the damage done by extremism, radicalism, and disinformation, and I won't stand by while people in Washington take us down the same path."

However, Flowers faces an uphill struggle in this overwhelmingly Republican district, which the Cook Political Report classifies as the tenth most Republican district in the US. In 2020, Greene’s Democratic opponent withdrew from the race, although his name still appeared on the ballot. Green won that election 75 percent to 25 percent.

Flowers is the second Democrat to announce a challenge to the embattled Greene; Holly McCormack from Ringgold announced her campaign last week.
