The Georgia Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 vaccine dashboard reported today that over 2.5 million doses have been administered in the state.

500,000 of those doses come from just the past 12 days. 67% of Georgia’s senior population has received at least one vaccine dose, compared ‘to the national average of 62%.

However, Georgia still lags as 50th in the nation in its vaccine rollout. The White House announced last week that FEMA would be partnering with Georgia to launch a vaccination center at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.
