Concourse D at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International Airport is getting a facelift.

The $40 million project is being funded by the bipartisan infrastructure law passed by Congress and signed into law last year by President Biden. In a joint announcement from Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock and Congresswoman Nikema Williams, the three lawmakers said that the focus of the renovation would be on upgrading waiting areas, restrooms, and the central concourse corridor. The project is expected to create around 500 construction jobs.

Ossoff and Warnock also announced $6 million in grants for improvements at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.
