TSPLOST returns to the ballot in Oconee County this November after voters shot down the proposed sales tax last year.

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners plan to incentivize voters by pledging to decrease property tax by one mill if they vote in favor of the referendum.

TSPLOST would raise the local sales tax from 7 to 8 percent and go towards transportation related projects in the county. If passed, it would go into effect in April 2023.
