Commissioner Mariah Parker’s pending resignation is posing a challenge for the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections.

Parker announced their resignation Monday, it is effective, Wednesday, August 31st.
A Special Election to fill that seat will be held on November 8th, at the same time of the General Election.
