According to the most recent estimates from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the average American spends more than $12,500 per year on personal health care, yet not everyone receives the same level of care. A recent report by the personal finance website WalletHub focused on the quality of healthcare in every state. Analyst Jill Gonzalez says Georgia ranked in the bottom 10.
The study looked at 42 different measures to determine a state’s healthcare ranking.
Gonzalez says the state has difficulty retaining doctors and dentists, with Georgia having one of the lowest number of dentists per capita.
