AthFest Educates

Athens nonprofit AthFest Educates has a new Executive Director. Mary-Eleanor Joyce replaces former long-time head, Jill Helme, who moved out of the state. Joyce has a lengthy history in the nonprofit world, with 15 years at Children First in Athens.

Joyce will officially begin her position at the organization in November. She says she’s looking forward to taking on the challenge.

A musician, who has played drums for several bands, Joyce has also participated in the AthFest Music Arts Festival as a performer.
