American Lung Association

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and the American Lung Association is urging eligible residents to get screened. Health professions say every two and a half minutes, a person in the U.S. is diagnosed with lung cancer. Dr. Jacob Sands, and Thoracic Medical Oncologist with the ALA has more on the scope of the problem.

Sands is promoting the organization’s “Save by the Scan” campaign and urging smokers to get screened.

He's joined by lung cancer survivor Denise Lee, who says early screening saved her life.
