US Senator Raphael Warnock, flanked by supporters, speaks at a campaign event in Atlanta on November 10.

Flanked by supporters and with a mural of the late John Lewis as a backdrop, US Senator Raphael Warnock kicked off his runoff campaign on Thursday in Atlanta.

"This race is about competence, and it’s about character,” Warnock said.

Later that day, at an event in Canton, Georgia, Herschel Walker brought in Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who exhorted Walker supporters to say "hell no" to what the Texas Senator called, "the Marxists who are trying to destroy this country."

The two men will face off in a December 6 runoff. Voters can request absentee ballots now, and early voting must start on November 28, although counties may choose to begin early voting before that.
