Door manufacturer Steves & Sons Inc., will create 170 jobs over the next three years as it builds a new Jackson County-based facility.

The 310,000-square-foot facility will produce millions of door skins, the outermost layer of a door, for use in new housing construction, repair, and remodeling. The company, which will invest over $100 million, will be hiring operators, electricians, and engineers to run the facility.

This is Steves & Sons' second expansion announcement in Georgia in the past year. In December of last year, they announced a new facility in Turner County, which they say will ultimately result in 200 jobs.
