StoryCorps

After suffering a stroke four years ago, Kennedy Packer admits that his short-term memory is not as strong as it used to be. Luckily, his long-term memory seems untouched, and in this story, he tells his daughter Maggie Packer about his own father and family members who impacted his life. StoryCorps Athens stories were recorded locally at the StoryCorps mobile booth at the Athens-Clarke County Library in the fall of 2018. StoryCorps is part of a national initiative to record and preserve the stories of everyday people. All of the interviews were produced locally by Morgan Frey.
