Athens StoryCorps: Yvette Lane-Walcott and Valdon Daniel

Yvette Lane-Walcott became friends with community advocate and teacher Valdon Daniel after he spent many hours tutoring her daughter in math. In this conversation, Yvette asks Valdon about how he became a math teacher and the employment difficulties he and his wife experienced when starting their careers. StoryCorps Athens stories were recorded locally at the StoryCorps mobile booth at the Athens-Clarke County Library in the Fall of 2018.
