Athens StoryCorps: JoBeth Allen and Leeidy Soliz

Though she had a much different experience hundreds of miles away from Athens, immigration advocate Leeidy Soliz joined her friend JoBeth Allen to talk about her experience coming to the U.S. and how it shaped her future. StoryCorps Athens stories were recorded locally at the StoryCorps mobile booth at the Athens-Clarke County Library in the Fall of 2018. StoryCorps is part of a national initiative to record and preserve the stories of everyday people.
