Athens StoryCorps: Suzanne Ward and Sarah Nitz

Athens non-profit Project Safe is an organization that offers services to survivors of domestic violence. These next two stories come from women who were helped by Project Safe and who offer stories of hope for other victims. Here’s Suzanne Ward and her Project Safe advocate Sarah Nitz. StoryCorps Athens stories were recorded locally at the StoryCorps mobile booth at the Athens-Clarke County Library in the Fall of 2018. StoryCorps is part of a national initiative to record and preserve the stories of everyday people.
