African Perspectives for August 9, 2020

This episode features the discussion of the music and career of Nigeria’s Yemi Eberechi Alade the latest addition to the group of our favorite African female artists. She represents a new generation of energetic African performers. The world renowned artist, professionally known as Yemi Alade is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who has enjoyed a successful and meteoric career since winning the inaugural edition of the Peak Talent Show in 2009. As always, the episode featured selected enjoyable music from Africa and/or by Africans comprising selections from two of Alade’s albums, Mama Africa and Woman of Steel.
