This episode provides timely and important information about some recent developments across the African continent including news updates from Zimbabwe, Cote D’Ivoire, and the most serious in Mozambique. On August 6, 2020, the FRELIMO led government and RENAMO, the largest opposition party and former guerrilla movement signed a peace agreement in Maputo. Meanwhile, fighting was intensifying between government forces and armed insurgents in the northernmost province of Cabo Delgado, home to Africa’s three largest liquid natural gas projects.
