Chemical nerve agents are weapons we hope to never face, but are the world’s militaries manufacturing them? How could we defend against such an attack? Dr. Scott Pegan, Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences, in the UGA College of Pharmacy and US Army Major, is working to develop enzymes that can capture and breakdown nerve agents in the bloodstream. Dr. Pegan also discusses his work with the Army to protect soldiers and provide scientific advice on increasing efficiency and improving equipment.
