Repairing Sight

Your browser doesn’t support HTML5 audio

The cornea is quite literally the tissue from which we view our world. However, like any tissue, the cornea can succumb to damage and disease. For many, this damage can be reversible thanks to Limbal stem cells, which facilitate cornea repair. However, how can you repair a cornea when those cells are no longer produced? Join host April Sorrow as she chats with UGA research scientist Dr. James Lauderdale about his work on improving cornea repair in patients that no longer produce these critical cells.
