In response to a call for public comment from UGA’s Presidential Task Force on Race, Ethnicity, and Community, the Athens Cultural Affairs Commission penned an open letter, calling for nearly $300,000 in spending to ameliorate what they characterize as “a narrow, exclusionary history plagued by white supremacy.”
