Former President Barack Obama campaigned for Democrat Joe Biden in Atlanta, declaring that Georgia voters have “power to deliver" change because two Republican Senate seats are up for grabs. Obama's visit came Monday, less than 24 hours after President Donald Trump’s second Georgia rally in the home stretch of a race in which the once reliably Republican state has become a battleground.

Trump pledged at a crowded rally on Sunday in Rome that Republicans are “going to win this state again.” Georgia hasn’t selected a Democrat for president since 1992. Meanwhile, Republican victories in statewide elections have become narrower in recent years.
