The University of Georgia released its weekly COVID-19 testing data on Wednesday.

181 new positive COVID-19 tests were reported by UGA for the week of January 25 to January 31. That’s down slightly from 201 the previous week.

Of the total positive tests reported, roughly 73 percent are among UGA students.

Athens-Clarke County reported 943 confirmed cases over the last two weeks. The county has a daily average of 58 cases, down from an average of 70 cases two weeks ago. But the positivity rate is still high at 10.8%. Public health officials recommend a positivity rate at 5% or lower.
