Athens residents wanting to weigh in on the future of the mall development will have a chance later this week.
The Mall Area Redevelopment Committee, composed of Mayor Kelly Girtz, Commissioners Mike Hamby and Jesse Houle, and Board of Education members Linda Davis and Mumbi Anderson, will hold a public town hall on Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. at the Planning Department Auditorium on Dougherty Street.
Members of the public will be able to comment on the proposed development before the committee, which is expected to vote on the matter early next week.
