The final episode of the show in May is dedicated to all listeners born in May. It is an attempt to

musically distract listeners from the troubling national and international news updates, including

mass shootings around the country, and war and crisis ongoing in parts of Africa. The episode

focuses on the life and music of the creator of the music genre, Fuji, late Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde

Ololade Balogun, famously known as Sikiru Ayinde Barrister. In celebrating his creativity, the

episode showcases his music in order to introduce the genius of the late Alhaji Agba, Sikiru

Ayinde Barrister, doctor of music and one of Nigeria and West Africa's best-known singer and

songwriter. The episode’s focus includes his early years performing Islamic religious music, his

stint in the Nigerian army, the creation of fuji music and his development into an internationally

renowned fuji musician. As always, the episode features selected enjoyable music from Africa

and/or by Africans including selected tunes by our featured artist from two of his over 70 studio
