UGA Commencement set for Friday

The University of Georgia will welcome more than 3,202 of its newest alumni Friday.

The undergraduate commencement ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 am in Stegeman Coliseum. Chris Womack, president and CEO of Georgia Power is the featured speaker. The graduate ceremony will take place at 2:30 Friday afternoon, also in Stegman Coliseum. Alan Darvill, Regents Professor Emeritus, will deliver the address.

Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio. Alexia came to Athens from Macon where she served as the News Director and show host for WGXA TV. She's a career journalist and Savannah native hailing from the University of Michigan. However, Alexia considers herself an honorary UGA DAWG!
