Piedmont Athens Regional Makes Changes Regarding Visitors

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is making changes regarding visitors. As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, Piedmont has been working with the CDC and the Georgia Department of Public Health to stay up-to-date.

According to a release from the facility, local efforts preparing for potential infectious disease and epidemics have intensified.

Pre-entry screenings for COVID-19 symptoms are now required for visitors. While visitors can park in either designated parking deck, they are only allowed to enter through the Prince Tower 2 or the emergency room entrance. Additionally, only two visitors are allowed for each patient and nor children under the age of 13 are permitted, except for those needing treatment.
