The Georgia Museum of Art is once again hosting family Day activities. Organizers say it’s a chance for children to learn about mid-century modern design it runs from 10 an until noon. No charge. Kids will do an art activity, go through the galleries and do activities, and have a   chance to learn about principles of design and elements of art. Hillary Brown is the Director of Communications for the Museum.

“We have family Day this Saturday, and that is the one that focuses on the big Gio Ponte exhibition that we’ve had going on all summer,” Brown said. “Furniture design, but also other things, some glass, some silver, some ceramics, some textiles, all by this Italian architect who is kind of like the father of modern of modern design in Italy, I don’t that that’s an overreach to say that.”

Brown says the designs are created by master craftspeople.
