In the animal kingdom, pigs sometimes get a bad rap. We frequently use insults such as “filthy as a pig” in our daily conversations. But, perhaps we should change this to “helpful as a pig,” as pigs might play a critical role in helping to research Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s Disease, and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
