UGA Reports Lowest Number of COVID-19 Cases Since November

Wednesday, The University of Georgia reported its lowest COVID-19 numbers since Thanksgiving.

UGA reported 115 positive COVID-19 tests for the week of Feb. 1 through Feb. 7. That’s down from 181 the previous week.

Students account for 87 of the total positive tests and faculty or staff account for 28.

The last time UGA reported numbers this low was the week of Thanksgiving when the university reported 78 positive tests.

UGA’s numbers reflect the downward trend of COVID-19 cases across the state.
