- The University of Georgia - All in-person classes, campus events and activities will be canceled throughout the day. All UGA residence halls will remain open. For on-campus residents in University Housing, please contact your community front desk or RA with any questions or concerns. If you become aware of any facilities-related problems, please report them. All dining halls will remain open, but opening will be delayed by one hour on Friday, and closing times may be adjusted if weather conditions warrant. Campus Transit will end service as scheduled on Friday, January 10, at 3:00 a.m. and will resume service when weather conditions make it safe to do so.
- UGA Gwinett campus - will be closed Friday, January 10th, and Saturday, January 11th. All classes, operations, and events are canceled.
- Athens Academy - will be closed on Friday, January 10. All classes and activities will be canceled, and the campus will be closed on both Friday and Saturday.
- Athens Technical College - all campuses will be closed Friday, January 10.
- Clarke County School District - will be closed on Friday, January 10. However, in order to adhere to state requirements for the number of days that school is considered in session, Friday will still be a remote active learning (asynchronous) day for students. Individual schools will be providing additional information about student work expectations for the day. All extracurricular activities, including sporting events, will also be canceled Friday and throughout this weekend.
- Double Helix STEAM School - School will be closed Friday, January 10.
- Jackson County Schools - will be closed on Friday, Jan. 10. This includes all schools and offices. All extracurricular events scheduled for Friday and Saturday Jan. 11 have been postponed.
- Madison County Schools - will be closed. All extracurricular activities and after school programs are cancelled. Extracurricular activities for Saturday, January 11 are cancelled.
- Oconee County Schools - will be closed on Friday, Jan. 10. This closure includes all schools and district offices. All after-school activities and events that were scheduled for Friday, Jan. 10, and Saturday, Jan. 11, have been cancelled or postponed.
- Oglethorpe County Schools - will be closed on Friday, January 10th. All extracurricular activities are cancelled on Friday and Saturday, January 11.
- The University of North Georgia - All campuses will be closed on Friday, January 10 and Saturday, January 11. All Activities are cancelled and offices will be closed.
