Athens-Clarke County needs qualified candidates to serve on four policy-making boards by June 16th. Three positions are on the Athens Downtown Development Authority, one on the Department of Family and Children’s Services Board, one on the Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases Advisory Council, and four positions on the Vision Committee. The positions are unpaid, volunteer positions. Incumbents are eligible for reappointment and may reapply.
Applicants must be ACC residents and registered to vote in ACC. Some positions may have additional requirements. Those interested can apply online at www.athensclarkecounty.com or pick up an application from the Clerk of Commission’s office in City Hall. The deadline for receiving applications is Friday, June 16.
