UGA agricultural climatologist Pam Knox has been named interim director of the Georgia Automated Environmental Monitoring Network where she will oversee the UGA weather network. Data from the 86 station network, includes factors like air temperature, rainfall, solar radiation, and atmospheric pressure, and is used by the agricultural industry, and by Utility companies to anticipate power usage.
