The Clarke County Sheriff’s Office has announced the promotion of two staff members. According to a media release from Captain Hayden Hodges, Captain Elizabeth Robinson has been promoted to Chief Jailer. Robinson is the second woman and the first African-American woman to hold the position.
In addition, Lieutenant Bobby Toole was promoted to Captain. Toole is the Field Section Commander. A promotion ceremony was held in their honor on Monday at the Athens-Clarke County Courthouse on December 3rd.
