The bodies of two Athens men reported missing last December, Joshua Jackson and Derrick Ruff, were found Sunday in a Gwinnett County storage unit.
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department said that the two appeared to have been shot to death, and that Gwinnett County Police are investigating the case as a homicide.
ACCPD will continue to assist Gwinnett County in their investigation, according to a press release.
Police arrested Lesley Green, 30, and charged him with concealing two deaths. Police are also seeking Robert Carlisle, 32, on the same charges.
Ruff and Jackson were first reported missing Dec. 20 and 21, respectively. The two were last seen together on Dec. 18. The investigation has since involved both police departments, K-9 units, FBI Safe Streets programs, the Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office, and others to locate the missing men.
Police also reached out to the public over the course of the investigation, releasing photos of the vehicle they were last seen in and encouraging anyone with tips to contact the police.
Athens-Clarke Police added that "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the two men."
Gwinnett County Police are encouraging anyone with information relevant to this case to contact GCPD detectives at 770-513-5300. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
