The Athens-Clarke County Police Department will be holding a job fair event at the ACC Spring Fling Saturday, May 4 at Southeast Clarke Park.
Those interested can submit an online application, have a preliminary interview, and participate in the required applicant obstacle course from 11 am until 5 pm.
The starting salary for non-certified applicants is $40,200. The starting salary for applicants with two years’ experience as a POST certified officer is $42,210. There is a $3,000 onetime hiring incentive and other monetary incentives for residing within Athens-Clarke County.
The department will also take part in a Georgia Department of Labor Job Fair on Wednesday, May 8 from 0900-1200, at the VFW on Sunset Drive. No obstacle course will be offered at the VFW.
