University Housing at the University of Georgia will host its annual Haunted High-rises and Fall Festival event on October 29 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in Creswell Hall and Russell Hall. Local children ages will have the opportunity to trick-or-treat, make fall crafts and enjoy both a haunted house and fall festival.
Residents in Russell Hall will transform the building with friendly Halloween decór and invite children in costumes to trick-or-treat through the halls. Residents and staff will host a fall festival on the plazas of Russell and Creswell halls off of Finley Street, where guests can make crafts, have snacks and play games. Creswell Hall residents will also cater to older children by creating a haunted house.
University Housing will also be collecting non-perishable food items at the event as part of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia’s annual Hunger Bowl. Collection locations are in the lobbies of both Creswell and Russell Hall.
Both high-rises are located on campus on Baxter Street between Church and Cloverhurst Streets. Parking for the event is available in the Russell Hall lot off of Finley Street (W10), the Brumby Hall lot off of Church Street (W08) and the gravel Creswell Hall lot off of Baxter Street (W07). The event is free to the public and will take place rain or shine. For more information, call the community office at 706-542-8344.
