Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement to Host Forum on Criminal Justice Reform

The Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement is hosting a community discussion on criminal justice reform and knowing your rights on Feb. 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Athens-Clarke County Library.

Guest speakers will include police Chief Cleveland Spruill, Clarke County solicitor general C.R. Chisholm Judge Ryan Hope and Charles Hardy. They will discuss the Athens Cash Bail Reform Ordinance, the Pre-Arrest Diversion program and the upcoming Community Police Review Board.

In addition, there will be a 15-30 minute presentation on how to protect your rights when engaging with law enforcement. For more information, contact athensantidiscrimination@gmail.com.
