Project Safe Shelter Announces New Hours, Updated Policies for Social Distancing

PROJECT SAFE

In their newsletter which was put out on Friday, June 5th, Project Safe announced their new hours, and social distancing policies they will be taking in order to keep their customers, clients, volunteers, and staff as safe as possible.
Project Safe will be open 12pm - 5pm Tuesday - Saturday, with Wednesday being “Senior Day.” They will be closed on Sunday and Monday. Additionally, the new procedures will limit the number of individuals inside at any given time, as well as limiting each customer’s shopping time to 30-45 minutes. Along with this volunteers will be required to wear facemasks and have a protective, Plexiglas shield by the register, as well as hand sanitizer to prevent the spread of germs.

As for the process of donation, “please bag or box your items and bring them to the Thrift Store during business hours (Tuesday-Saturday 12 pm - 5 pm). Please indicate they are items for shelter. Do not leave donations if the store is closed as they may get stolen or weather damaged.”

Follow Project Safe Thrift Store on Facebook or call the store at (706) 425-8863 to confirm we're accepting donations. Contact their hotline at  (706) 543-3331 or their textline at  (706) 765-8019
