ACC Library Resumes Some Services, Develops Protocol for Reopening

Athens Regional Library

The Athens-Clarke County Regional Library resumed some services and added others last week. The library now offers email printing services and a series of virtual computer-skills tutorials, as well as remote appointments with the Heritage Room staff to assist in genealogy research.

Starting this month, the library will also offer computer access by appointment. Library administrators are currently working to develop protocols and secure equipment for a safe reopening.

Over the last two months, the library system has reopened bookdrops and begun circulating library materials via curbside pickup. It has also continued its summer reading program, which runs through July 31, and provided a range of virtual summer programs and activities.

The library will be closed today and tomorrow, July third and fourth, for Independence Day weekend.
