Top leaders at the University System of Georgia have named the members of an advisory group that was recently created to review the names of buildings and colleges on all USG campuses.

Several members of the five-person advisory group are prominent figures in the university system, including President Marion Frederick of Albany State University, who will chair the group, Neal J Quirk, an attorney and Executive Vice-Chairman of the University of Georgia Foundation, and Dr. Sally Wallace, Dean of the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. Other members of the advisory council are Michael Patrick, Marketing and Strategic Growth at Chick-fil-A, and the Honorable Herbert Phipps, a retired judge from the Georgia Court of Appeals.

The advisory group will review the names of buildings and colleges across USG campuses and will report back to the Board of Regents with recommendations.
