Athens Mans Dies from Injuries in August Car Wreck

An Athens man has died from injuries he sustained during a car wreck in August.

According to a release from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, 67-year-old Robert Thomas Stephens died on September 10th after he was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries he received in an August 28th collision. 

Police say Stephens was turning left onto Timothy Road from Epps Bridge Road when his vehicle was struck by one being driven by 21-year-old Sean Steven Brown of Monroe, Georgia.

Brown was cited for DUI-Alcohol and Serious Injury by Vehicle.
