The Athens Neighborhood Health Center is celebrating National Health Center Week this week with a series of open houses. The organization is kicking off events at the Hilsman School facility Tuesday. Jennifer Richardson is Director of Marketing and Outreach at the nonprofit.
Richardson says the federally qualified health center is for the entire community, those with or without health insurance. Assistance is available for people seeking with Medicare or the marketplace, among the wide range of services provided.
A reception Thursday at the McKinnley Drive location is the highlight of the week. Local, state, and federal representatives will be in attendance as Athens Neighborhood Health Center celebrates over 50 years in the community.
