Rudy Giuliani Ordered to Appear August 17th Before a Special Grand Jury

Rudy Giuliani has been ordered to appear August 17th before a special grand jury in Atlanta that’s investigating possible interference by former President Donald Trump and others in Georgia’s 2020 general election.

Giuliani had been subpoenaed to testify today but his legal team asked the court to postpone his appearance to mid-September, saying he was unable to travel due to recent heart surgery. The Fulton County District Attorney Office denied this request after obtaining evidence that Giluani had traveled since this medical procedure and suggested alternate forms of transportation if Giuliani was not yet cleared for air travel.

In a petition to compel testimony from Giuliani, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis wrote that the former Trump attorney and New York city Mayor “was a part of a multi-state, coordinated plan by the Trump Campaign to influence the results of the November 2020 election in Georgia and elsewhere.”
