August was the second worst month this year for COVID cases in the Clarke County School District.

There were 636 total reported cases for the month of August in the district, with 503 reported cases in the last thirty days. 85 of those came in the last fourteen days and 21 coming in the last week.

According to the CCSD the reported cases still represent less than 5% of total student and staff population. This is the second highest number of reported cases, after January 2022 when there were 1532 cases.

Clarke Central High School had the most reported cases in August with 64. Face masks are encouraged, but not required in Clarke County Schools.
