Tropical Storm Nicole makes landfall in Florida, expected to turn northeast later today

Tropical Storm Nicole made landfall on the east coast of Florida early this morning. The storm is expected to head northwest towards the Florida panhandle before curving northeast and heading through Georgia.

Effects from Nicole, including rain and wind, could arrive in our area later today.

Winds from Nicole, which is predicted to become a tropical depression by the time it approaches north Georgia, could be as high as 40 miles per hour this afternoon and evening.
