The American Lung Association is aiming to raise awareness about COPD, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. As part of that effort, the ALA has launched the new “Addressing COPD” campaign. Dr. Panagis Galiatsatos is physician in pulmonary care and critical medicine and a volunteer with the ALA.
He says while there is no cure for COPD, it can be managed.
The ALA says early detection can make a significant difference in treatment of the disease.
